THE Quad Cities Marathon
7:30 a.m. Sunday September 28, 2008
A Boston Marathon qualifying course, the Quad Cities Marathon is flat except for a gradual hill at mile 2 and the bridges. Plenty of entertainers, sponge stations, GU stations and support throughout
the 26.2 mile stretch. Register >>
Half Marathon
With the same start/finish as the Marathon, this race features
all the bridges and scenic views of the Marathon and lots of entertainment

Palmer Chiropractic 5K
An out and back course, starting and finishing in
downtown Moline, IL. The 5K is open to all ages and abilities including
runners and walkers. Simultaneous start with the Marathon. Register

Rock Valley Physical Therapy 5 - Person Marathon Relay
Simultaneous start with the Marathon. Team captains will receive
a packet with specific details, T-shirts and bibs for each member.
Team members will be shuttled to and from the transition areas. Register

The distances for the 5 Relay legs are as follows (all are approximate measurements):
1st Leg, at Starting Line, 6.2 miles;
2nd Leg, at Lindsay Yacht Club, 6.2 miles;
3rd Leg, at District of Rock Island, 6.2 miles;
4th Leg, at RI Arsenal Island, 3.2 miles;
Last Leg, on River Drive in Moline, 4.4 miles
Each mile for each relay leg will be marked and visibly labeled for
the relayers. ALSO, there will be a Relay Regroup Area about a block
before the Finish Line for those relayers wishing to finish together
(hand-in-hand) as a team across the Finish Line. Map >>
The "Isle Mile" Walk for Prostate Cancer
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among U.S. men. The "Isle Mile" Walk
for Prostate Cancer is a one mile, non-competitive walk-for-the-cause event.
Help raise Prostate cancer awareness and education. Proceeds from this years'
marathon will benefit the Us

Happy Joe's Kids Micro-Marathon
Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, 1:30 p.m. For kids of all ages! The Happy
Joe's Fun Runs offer three distances: 1/4 mile, 1/2 miles and 1
mile. These are noncompetitive events open to all ages and abilities.
Designed exclusively for fun and fitness. Registration available until
race time. Ribbons and goodie bags to all finishers. Race location:
Bass Street Landing(17th St.), downtown Moline (near Stoney Creek Inn). Register

ORA Health and Fitness Expo
Saturday, Sept. 27, 10:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. at Stoney Creek Inn, 101
18th St., downtown Moline. The Expo will feature exhibits of the
newest in running gear, the latest in sports, fitness and nutrition.

Saturday, Sept. 27, 10:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Held in conjunction with the ORA Health and Fitness Expo, at Stoney Creek Inn.
Race Info Session
Saturday, September 27, 2008, 3:30 p.m. in conjunction with the O.R.A.
Health & Fitness Expo. The clinic will focus on the various courses
with visual aides, question and answer period and the start and finish
details.
Free and open to the public. Special Guest TBD.
Happy Joe's Pasta Party
Saturday, September 27, 2008, 5 - 7:30 p.m. at Stoney Creek Inn, 1701
River Drive, downtown Moline. The Happy Joe's Pasta Party is an excellent
opportunity to load up on energy and mingle with runners from around
the Midwest. Special guest speaker Helen Klein. Tickets are $10.00 at the door. (No advance ticket sales).
Party in Motion
The Quad City Marathon features an exciting race and beautiful course.
Live entertainment will provide excitement to runners and spectators
alike. Enjoy music and fun as the "party in Motion" covers
the course with many bands and entertainers at specific venues
along the Marathon, Half-Marathon, Relay and 5K courses.
Schnucks/Miller Lite Post Race Party
Schnucks and Miller Lite provide a wide selection of great food and refreshments - celebrate that great feeling of accomplishment with continuous musical entertainment.
