All Sunday races begin promptly at 7:00 AM

Time Limit

MARATHON time limit is 7 hours (2:30 PM) or a 16 minute/mile pace. Due to the security and volunteers involved on Rock Island Arsenal  Military Installation, we must adhere to this time line. Once off the island (approximately mile 20) you are free to slow your pace down even more.

HALF MARATHON:  Although there is no official time limit set for this event, we ask that all half marathon participants make every effort to complete the race within four hours. Walkers are welcome in this event.

What is the weather going to be like? 

On race day over the past five years, average temperature  at 7:30 am is 52 deg F and noon is 75 deg. F

Where do I get my race packet? 

At the Quad Cities Marathon Health and Fitness Expo on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.  iWireless Center, 1201 River Dr, Moline, IL

Race Day Registration/Packet Pick-Up

There is no race day registration or race day packet pick up except Walk for a Cause and kids' races on Saturday.  Walk registration open until 10:30 A.M. and children may register up until 1:15 P.M. on Saturday.

Can my friend pick up my packet for me? 

Yes.  They will need to bring their picture ID  and will have to sign a form saying they picked it up for you.  The only exception is military discount participants.  They must be there in person  to present their military ID.

What if I need to switch races due to injury or decide to run a different race? 

You can switch races if there is still room, but you will not receive any refund.  If you want to switch to a higher priced race, you will need to pay the difference.  To switch, please come to the Expo on Saturday,  pick up your packet and then go to the Solutions Table.

What if I can no longer run?

We're sorry, but all registrations are final,and may not be refunded or transferred.  We are not able to hold a registration over to the following year either.

What if one of my relay team can no longer run?

The original team member will not be refunded their portion of the relay fee, but will still receive their shirt.  The person substituting for the original member must register and pay $40.

How do I confirm my registration?

To confirm your registration, click on the Register Button.  On the left side of the page, there is a place to enter your name to verify registration.

Where do I park? 

There is ample free parking at the i wireless Center right at the start/finish line.

Is there a course tour? 

Yes, on Saturday at 11:30 am.  Buses depart from the iWireless Center parking lot.

Where are the hills on the course? 

There is one hill at Mile 2 1/4..

Where do the half and full marathon split and is it well marked? 

The Marathon and Half Marathon split at approximately 8.5 miles.  It will be well marked and volunteers will be there to point you in the right direction.

Where is gear check? 

Gear check is south of the start/finish area on John Deere Commons - look for the feather flag that says “Gear Check”.  Gear check will be open from 6:00 am - 1:00 pm.  After 1:00, the remaining items will be moved to the INFORMATION TENT next to the finish line.

Where do I find the buses for relay runners? 

The buses are at Centre Station.  Centre Station is located across from the iWireless Center i.e. Start / Finish. The MetroLINK Buses will be identified by exchange locations. Your bib number is your bus ticket. Once you have completed your leg, a bus will take you back to the finish area.

How often are there replenishment stops? 

Approximately 15 water, approximately six Gatorade, as well as four Carb Boom! Energy Gel stations are located throughout the course.

What if I need medical assistance? 

First aid stations with medical volunteers from Trinity will be located between Miles 6/7 and Mile 10 in Davenport, between Mile 12/13 in Rock Island, between Mile 18/19 on Arsenal Island, at Mile 24 and at the finish line.

What if I can't complete my race? 

There is no shame in dropping out of the race.  If you want or need to drop out, please report to a Communication Volunteer on the course so they can contact a sweep van.  Once you have dropped out, you may not re-enter the course or cross the finish line.

When is the award ceremony? 

The awards ceremony will take place at the Post Race Stage Area at 8:30 am for the 5K, 11:30 am for half marathon, Marathon, and Relay.

Where can I pick up my trophy after the race?

Where and when are the results posted? 

Results will be posted on our website after the race.

I lost an item.  What should I do? 

Lost and Found is at the Information booth.

Where is a good place to eat? 

Bier Stube, Happy Joes Pizza, and Noodles are all great choices.

Pump N Run FAQs:

When do I do the Pump part of the Pump N Run?


I registered for the one of the races online and not the Pump n run.  I would still like to do the PNR, can I register at the expo?

Yes.  You will need to go to one of the computers in the registration area and register on the computer.

Do I do both the Bench Press and Bicep curl or pick one?

Both are required for the event.  You will bench press first and then go immediately to the bicep curl.

What is new for 2017 for the Pump N Run?

  • Revised lighter weight charts for the 5K division for both male and female, now the same weight standards as both the ½ and full marathon
  • 19 to 39 age group for both male and female divisions has been divided into 2 age divisions. 19 to 29 and 30 to 39.  For percentages and amounts to be lifted, please see pump n run page.
  • Relay Team Division!  Relay teams can now participate in the Pump n Run Division.  A minimum of 2 relay team members must pump.  If 3, 4 or the whole team wants to pump they may.  Score will be the average of all those who pumped.
