STARTING TIMES:

Saturday Races & Events:

All events start/finish and/or take place outside of the TaxSlayer Center and John Deere Commons at 1201 River Drive, Moline, IL.

8:00 AM: Fleet Feet Shake-Out Run. No registration required. 

9:00 AM to 5:00 PM: Expo & Packet Pick-up

10:00 AM: Rudy's Tacos One Mile Walk/Run for a Cause (supporting the Us TOO Prostate Cancer Organzation). Registration availabe until 15 minutes prior to race start time. 

Noon: Happy Joe's Kids Micro Marathon. Registration availabe until 15 minutes prior to race start time.

Sunday Races & Events:

All events start/finish and/or take place outside of the TaxSlayer Center and John Deere Commons at 1201 River Drive, Moline, IL. 

Marathon, Relay, and Half Marathon Sunday races begin promptly at 7:00 AM.

5K Sunday race begins at 7:15 AM

PACKET PICK-UP:

You can pick up your packet at the Active Endeavors Health and Fitness Expo on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM located at the TaxSlayer Center, 1201 River Dr, Moline, IL. 

There is NO Sunday race day registration or packet pick-up. The Saturday races, Rudy's Tacos One Mile Walk/Run for a Cause and Happy Joe's Micro Marathon kids' races, allow for same day registration until 9:45 AM (one-mile) and until 11:45 PM (kids races). 

In extreme circumstances, if previously arranged with marathon officials, pakcets may be picked up at the gear check area located outside of Centre Station (just below the clock tower at John Deere Commons). Arrangments must be made in advance. Contact us here

You may have a person, other than you, pick up your packet for you. A photo ID and signature will be required for verification. The only exception to an alternate individual picking up packets is for military discount participants. Those particpants must be there in person to present their military ID.

SWITCHING RACES:

If you need to switch your race due to injury or simply decide to run a different distance, you can do so, however a refund will not be offered. To switch to a higher-priced race, you will need to pay the difference. To switch, please come to the Expo/packet pick-up on Saturday, claim your packet, then go to the solusitons table to switch your race. 

All registrations are final and may not be refunded or transferred. We are not able to hold a registraion over to the following year. If you are not able to particpate in the race, your race registraiton fees will be forfeited. 

Relay team members who cannot run will also not be refunded, but will receive their race shirt. If a substitute runner is placed, the substitute must register and pay the current registration fee.

To confirm your registration, enter your first and last name in the "confirmy your entry" link on the registration or runners information page. You will then be redirected to our partner site to verify your entry.

ACTIVE ENDEAVORS HEALTH AND FITNESS EXPO:

The free Active Endeavors Health and Fitness Expo is the place to go to pick up your packet, get new gear, learn more about the Quad Cities Marathon, and listen to informative and inspirational speakers. The expo is open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday and located inside the TaxSlayer Center at 1201 River Drive, Moline, IL.

PUMP N RUN:

The Pump N Run is offered as an optional division for the 5K, half, and marathon events. Participants can bench and curl a percentage of their body weight, based on age and gender, to earn a reduction in their run time for each combination of bench and curl repetition. TIME LIMIT:

The marathon course is open for seven (7) hours, from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The pace for a seven hour marathon is 16 minute/mile pace. Due to the security and volunteers involved on Rock Island Arsenal  Military Installation, we must adhere to this time line. Once off the island (approximately mile 20) you are free to slow your pace down even more.

A pace checkpoint will be located at East Street near Rodman Avenue (approximately mile 15). This is near the half and full marathon split area. You must reach this checkpoint by 11:00 AM in order to continue the full marathon at a minimum pace of 16 minutes/mile. 

Although there is no official time limit set for the half marathon, we ask that all half marathon participants make every effort to complete the race within four hours and be on the Rock Island Arsenal before 9:30 AM. After that time, the bridge will close and participants will be diverted to the Illionois bike path and directed towards the finish. 

All paricipants who are not within the course time limit will be asked to use existing sidewalks, and must obey pedestrian traffic rules. 

There is no guarantee of traffic conrol, fluid stations, official finish time, a finisher medal, or post-race refreshments if the time limit is exceeded. 

Walkers are welcome in the events so long as the 16 minute/mile pace is achievable. 

BIB NUMBERS:

All participants must keep their bib numbers whole, clean, and visible during the race (either on the front of the shirt or shorts). Participants will not be able to compete or complete the event without the correct bib number. Marthon photographers will be on the course photographing participants during the race and at the finish. It is very important that your bib be visible and identifiable. 

GEAR CHECK/LOST AND FOUND:

Gear check is south of the start/finish area on John Deere Commons - look for the feather flag that says “Gear Check”.  Gear check will be open from 5:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  After 12:30 p.m., the remaining items will be moved to the information tent next to the finish line. A tag for your gear check is included on your race bib. The gear check tag and the bib numbers are the same. Lost and found is located at the information tent near the start/finish line. 

ON COURSE MEDICAL SUPPORT/ASSISTANCE:

Please be sure to complete the emergency information area on the back of your bib. Medical stations will be located throughout the course to provide assistance if needed. If any participant is unable to complete the race due to medical reasons, or is transferred to a local hospital, race officials will be notified and the information on the back of the bib, along with the emergency contact completed during registration, and/or medical alert bracelet will be used to contact family and friends. Please be aware that medical staff may pull any runner from the race if they believe the participant is unfit to continue. There is no shame in dropping out of the race. If you want or need to drop out for any reason other than medical, please report to a vololunteer on the course so they can contact a sweep van.  Once you have dropped out, you may not re-enter the course or cross the finish line.

COURSE TOUR:

A free bus tour of the marathon course will be held on Saturday of race weekend at 11:30 AM. The bus departs from the TaxSlayer Center parking lot (1201 River Drive, Moline, IL). This guided tour will answer any questions you have regarding the course and will allow you to have a first-hand look at the elevation changes of the course. The Quad Cities Marathon is a scenic USATF, Boston qualifying marathon course, taking you over the I-74 bride, along the mighty Mississippi, through an active military installation, and spans five cities and two states. AWARDS:

The awards ceremony will take place in two locations, Center Stage and the Awards Tent.  

Center Stage overall awards: 5K at 9:00 AM, Half Marathon at 10:00 AM, Marathon at 11:00 AM, Relay Team at 11:00 AM. 

The Official Awards Tent on the terrace outside of Johnny's Italian Steakhouse. Divisional Awards can be picked up at the awards tent at any time postrace. 

Where can I pick up my trophy after the race?

If you can't make it to the awards ceremonies, you may pick up your trophy at one of the following locations: Running Wild, Davenport for 5K and Relay division awards; and Fleet Feet, Davenport, for Marathon and Half Marathon division awards.
