To improve the 2016 Quad Cities Marathon we have implemented many changes to not only create a more entertaining, inclusive and successful event, but to also give back to the community in these aspects as well. One of the newest programs is the Charity Bib Program.
The Charity Bib Program was created to raise funds for local non-profit organizations who may have not previously benefited from our event. The core principle of the program is to raise money for a specific charity, and in return, receive a free race bib for one of the five Quad Cities Marathon race events.
We have given eight local charities the opportunity to participate in our 2016 Charity Bib Program.
- Boys and Girls Club
- Children’s Therapy Center
- Epilepsy Foundation
- Erika Kate Hope Alliance
- Hand in Hand
- Livestrong QC
- UsTOO Prostate Cancer
- Vera French Foundation
Each organization has been given five race bibs to give to their top five fundraisers. The minimum amount required to qualify for a free race bib is $400.00.
