The Quad City Balloon Festival is scheduled for September 24,25, & 26 2010. It is being held in the field on the west edge of the Jewel\Osco location on Ave of the Cities and Kennedy Drive in East Moline. Admission and parking is Free to the general public.

The huge, colorful balloons will be flying Friday evening, Saturday morning and Saturday evening. Sunday morning, the balloons will be tethered along the Quad City Marathon race course. Flight times are 7am and 5pm daily, weather permitting.

Food vendors, activities for the kids, and sponsor displays will be available. Each evening after flying, the balloons will return to the launch field and participate in a "night glow". The balloons light up like a low-wattage light bulb in the night sky. Spectators can view the sights up close as they visit with the individual pilots.

Don't forget your camera. It's a great photo opportunity as the colorful balloons dance in the wind before sundown and glow on the field after dark.
