Elite Running Program

OVERALL ELITE TIME STANDARD: In 2024, the TBK Bank Quad Cities Marathon and Mel Foster Half Marathon welcome elite athletes to our event. Athletes may qualify for entry waiver and hotel lodging on a case-by-case basis. Meals, travel assistance, and Visa letters will not be provided. Times will be confirmed by our Race Officials and must have been recorded in the past two years. Special consideration for elite entry may be granted for athletes not meeting the above standards, provided the athlete submits exceptional times at shorter distances. Elite Runners may submit inquiries beginning in January 2024 until race officials close the elite field prior to race weekend. To be considered for this program the following time standards are used as guidelines:

Masters Men:

Half Marathon

 Local Elite Runners

LOCAL ELITE TIME STANDARD: The TBK Bank Quad Cities Marathon and Mel Foster Half Marathon welcome local elite athletes to our event. Local is defined as athletes from Scott, Muscatine, Rock Island, Henry, and Mercer Counties. Local athletes may qualify for entry waiver. Times will be confirmed by our Elite Race Coordinator and must have been recorded in the past two years. Special consideration for local elite entry may be granted for athletes not meeting the above standards, provided the athlete submits exceptional times at shorter distances. Local elite prize money will be awarded to the top-3 men and women in both the Full and Half Marathons. To be considered for this program the following time standards are used as guidelines:

PED/Drug Testing Statement: The TBK Bank Quad Cities Marathon promotes a drug-free race environment to protect the health of athletes and to preserve fair competition. The QCM Race Committee reserves the right to drug test overall winners, and top finishers, for Performance Enhancing Drugs following completion of our marathon. Drug-test samples may be collected and processed by an independent certified collection agency. The samples are collected and analyzed under a published protocol using certified laboratories.
