Training for your first race? Trying to achieve a PR? Looking for accountability? No matter where you are in your running journey, we want you to achieve your goal during the month long virtual race. Training for your race is important, and the Quad Cities’ local running clubs have training programs designed to support you during your training for this year’s unique experience. We recommend two local training programs - Read the details and decide what’s right for you!
Cornbelt Running Club’s
Marathon/Half Marathon Fall Training Program
- 16 week program beginning June 2nd (first Sunday of June), join anytime.
- Cornbelt Running Club members receive a 20% discount on their gear needs at Running Wild.
- All abilities welcome.
- Supervised by Coach Russ Hart and experienced marathoners.
- General and personalized training advice provided.
- Group training tee/tank.
- Weekly supported long runs, track workouts, training schedules and more.
- Celebratory dinner.
Fleet Feet Marathon/Half Marathon Training Program
The program begins in June and leads up to race weekend. Participants will feel most comfortable if they are able to complete 3 or more miles of running and/or walking before beginning the program.
Registration includes:
- Daily programming for 14 weeks.
- Program meetups on Tuesday nights & Saturday mornings
- Two weekly meetups with coaches, mentors and fellow participants. Access to educational content from training experts, area professionals, etc.
- Demo shoes available from our brand partners.
- Samples & swag throughout the program.
